Watchtowers

I’m drawn to lighthouses because of their quiet steadiness. They stand watch while weather shifts, tides turn, and the world keeps moving around them. Even as technology changes and their role evolves, they remain strong, patient markers along the coast. Through this work, I’m simply spending time with them — noticing their presence, their character, and the way they continue to hold light and history in place.

This collection blends coastlines, weather, and structure — light cutting through fog, waves crashing against rock, paths and shorelines quietly leading the eye home. Some moments are calm and glowing, others shaped by wind, storms, or nightfall. All of them carry a sense of steadiness.

Lighthouses hold stories of resilience and care — built to endure, built to guide. I photograph them not just as landmarks, but as companions to the landscape, shaped by light, time, and the elements around them. Each image is a reminder that even in changing conditions, something constant can remain.
